Women in constructionWomen have been working in construction since the Middle Ages!

Out of the nearly two million people who work in construction, less than 190,000 are women. When women represent 45% of the working population this is a serious shortfall.

Although women represent less than 10% of the construction workforce they are consistently growing in number year.

The construction industry requires 380,000 new entrants over the next five years, which means it is a great time for women to start thinking about joining the sector.

Every year the construction industry offers new career opportunities for enough people to fill a football stadium.
