At Ridgemond Training we offer Alternative Key Stage Four schemes for young people age 14 – 16 years, in year groups 10 and 11.

Alternative Key Stage Four offers a new and exciting curriculum that has been developed as a practical addition to classroom based education. The programme is totally flexible and is tailored around the specific needs of each young person. Alternative KS4 is a stepping stone to achieving qualifications that will really help you build a better future. From this level you can study at Foundation Level and progress to Apprenticeship, Advanced Apprenticeship and possibly university.

Ridgemond Training is committed to ensuring that all learners receive the very highest level of support. We provide help and advice from enquiry and application, though to achieving qualifications and progressing to further training or employment.

We understand that young people can often have issues that can affect their learning, so we also provide additional support:

  • Financial support; advice and help with grants and transport costs.
  • Childcare help; we have an on site day nursery at Stevenage. Places are free for anyone training at Ridgemond.
  • Confidential counselling.
  • Learner mentoring.
